Canaan Baptist Church is hosting its Jazz & Jokes event on Friday 26Sep from 6:30p-8:30p at Center in the Park. I’ll be returning to Chayz Lounge on Thursday 05Jun to perform as a prequel to my high school class’ 20th year reunion. As such, it only made sense for this performance to be co-headlined with my classmate and friend, Brittany Turnipseed. We will be accompanied by Rod Foster & Company to perform songs that remind of us our high school years — featuring jazz, R&B, and soul.

Jazz Bridge has always been a great supporter for The Smooth Show over the years — consistently promoting our events and helping us expand our reach in/around Philadelphia. That’s why we were excited when they reached out about an opportunity to be part of their Neighborhood Concert series. After a successful event last year, the Harvest Groove Band is bringing back Lovers Lane: An Evening of R&B and Soul! Merck is hosting a hospitality suite as part of the National Black MBA Association’s national conference in Washington, DC, with The Smooth Show providing the live entertainment. MOBBLUZ is an Alt Jazz Rock powerhouse band, and they are having an album release party on Sunday 08Sep at 7:30p. This concert will include a headlining performance by The Smooth Show’s very own Lloyd Billups — and I will be performing as part of his band that night. Earlier this year, The Smooth Show did its first worship service as part of the Black History Month celebration at Christian Faith Fellowship. Apparently the good people at this church really liked us; they’re having us back on Sunday 07Jul as part of their church anniversary celebration.
